BBVA customers in Spain have been experiencing a service interruption on the web and mobile app for several hours due to “technical access problems” in the channels.

Since this morning, users who have tried to access their account through both channels have found a message informing them about the interruption of the service.

“We are experiencing technical problems on our channels. The teams are working on restoring the service as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you very much,” read a message posted on Twitter by the BBVA account in Spain before eleven in the morning. .

Five hours later, the problem persists. BBVA sources consulted by Cinco Días pointed to “technical access problems” in the channels and assured that the bank has detected the incident and is working to restore the service as soon as possible. They rule out a cyber attack.
