SIMA, the real estate show in Madrid, returns after last year’s face-to-face edition was suspended due to the pandemic. From today until Sunday the exhibition space will be open with security measures due to the health crisis.
This edition will have relevant absences among the promoters in the real estate exhibition pavilion. Aedas, Metrovacesa, Vía Célere, Amenabar, Inmoglaciar, ASG, Kronos, Gestilar or Acciona will be missing. The main reasons put forward by companies are doubts about the pandemic; that less audience is expected; the difficult conversion of investment into return, or the lack of housing supply in its portfolio in the surroundings of Madrid.
Among the developers that do attend SIMA are Neinor, Habitat, Culmia, Iberdrola Inmobiliaria, Premier, Level, TM, HI! Real Estate, Stoneweg and Pryconsa (virtually).
The offer of housing on display at SIMA reaches 10,260 units, with Madrid attracting 47% of the product. It is followed by other coastal provinces focused on second homes such as Malaga (19%), Alicante (9%) and Almería (6%), according to figures from the fair’s organization.
