MásMóvil has communicated an adjustment in the price of the takeover bid for Euskaltel. The new offer represents a 1.52% cut over the previous one. The group led by Meinrad Spenger now raises the payment of 11 euros per title compared to the previous 11.17 euros.
The difference of 0.17 euros corresponds to the amount of the complementary dividend that the Basque operator has paid to its shareholders this week, specifically on June 17. This change leaves the valuation of the Basque operator below 2,000 million.
MásMóvil, through a statement to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), warns that if Euskaltel were to distribute other dividends soon among its shareholders, it would also proceed to reduce the price of the takeover bid by an equivalent amount . As many times as necessary until the settlement of the term of the purchase offer of the company directed by José Miguel García.
MásMóvil takes the last steps in this operation, which during the week has received official support from the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructures of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation.
The National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMC) also gave unconditional approval to the concentration operation of both groups.
