With this acquisition, Carlyle expects Cupa to reach 300 million in turnover and 2,200 employees spread throughout the world. This company, founded in León in the 19th century, is the world leader in world slate and also has a powerful division that is expert in natural stone. It is present in 9 countries with 22 quarries and exports to more than 67 countries.
The purchase of Proinor is in addition to the recent acquisition of Pizarras Gallegas. It is another company with more than half a century of history and an important international activity.
