In the third quarter, the IT sourcing market in Switzerland, Germany and Austria grew significantly. This was due not least to the high demand for cloud services, as an analysis by the ISG analyst company shows.

In the third quarter of the current year, the IT sourcing market in Switzerland, Germany and Austria grew significantly. This was ensured in particular by the high demand for cloud services, but traditional managed services also played their part.

This is shown by the “EMEA ISG Index” of the Information Services Group (ISG). This is published quarterly by the analyst and consultancy firm. All commercial outsourcing contracts with an annual volume (Annual Contract Value, ACV) of at least five million euros are taken into account.

ISG analyzed the most important facts and trends of the third quarter of 2020 especially for the DACH region. We have briefly summarized them for you in the following video. The trends are also explained in detail in the picture gallery at the end of the report.

In the entire EMEA region, the contract volume for traditional managed services increased by 10 percent to 2.2 billion euros compared to the third quarter of 2019. In IT outsourcing, ISG is even observing a growth of 36 percent to 1.8 billion euros.
