Lazzarini Design Studio‘s team has unveiled its latest mega yacht concept, Prodigium. The King of the Seas, as it’s also known, is shaped like a giant shark and spans a whopping 501 feet (153 meters) long.
If it comes to fruition, this would make Prodigium one of the largest vessels to sail the seas. Inspired by Roman architecture, and presumably the film Jaws, Prodigium is equipped with Roman statues and two columns that support its upper deck.
However, that’s about as close to the past as the King of the Seas goes. The modern yacht concept has six different levels, three oversized pools, a helipad worthy of three helicopters, and can carry eight tenders stored in two garages, as Boat Internationalreports.

But wait, there’s more. The mega yacht’s upper deck is made out of carbon and aluminum that are specially designed to resemble the form of a toothy shark.
Prodigium is fitted out with solar panels for energy, sports a hybrid propulsion system for a cruising speed of 22 knots — placing the vessel on par with a Great White’s regular swimming speed of 25 mph (40 km/h), statesRobb Report.
Prodigium’s images offer a glimpse of what ultra-luxury mega yachts might look like complete with a spacious lounge area inside.
This isn’t Lazzarini’s first foray into animal-shaped mega yachts. In September, the team unveiled its swan-shaped Avanguardia, which is a 450-foot-long vessel worth $500 million. Let’s see which animal will inspire Lazzarini for its next mega yacht.
