After several months of waiting, Nissan introduced the new X-Terra, the SUV sibling of the Frontier. It is a renewal of the classic model of the Japanese firm that derived from the pick-up produced in our country and that has long since left the local market.
The restyling was presented in the Middle East where the sport utility has a good present, like other models such as Toyota Fortuner (SW4 for Argentina), Ford Everest (derived from Ranger), Mitsubishi Montero Sport (derived from the L200, it would arrive in Argentina in the next time).
In our country it is a limited segment but loved by the Argentine public, although for now the maximum exponents are Toyota SW4 Y Chevrolet Trailblazer. In the case of new nissan, has several components in common with the Frontier 2021, redesign that will be produced in the industrial terminal of Santa Isabel (Córdoba, Argentina).
One point in favor of the new X-Terra is the design, since for example in the front it adopts a new style with V-Motion grill, but it has its own identity compared to the pick-up of the Japanese brand. In the rear area, the optics were modified with a more rectangular design.
The interior is also a novelty as it does not have too many points in common with the new Frontier, but even has similarities with other models such as Kicks, especially in the design of the center console.
The instruments are more similar to the pick-up, with four hands and a display with different functions, in addition to the incorporation of a new steering wheel. In number of occupants, X-Terra will have space for seven occupants.
In driving technology, the new SUV features the Nissan Intelligent Mobility package with adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistance, autonomous emergency brake, cross traffic alert, among others.
At least in the Middle East, it will not have the same engine as the national Frontier, since it will have an impeller 2.5 of 165 HP, associated with a seven-speed automatic transmission. The traction will be integral. Take a look at the pictures below.
