The delegate of the government area of Circulation and Environment of the Madrid City Council, Borja Carabante, has announced that the capital will launch a plan to renew the fleet of vehicles with a budget of 20 million euros.
This was stated by Carabante during the 8th Assembly of the Madrid Association of Automobile Dealers (AMDA), which was also attended, among others, by the president of AMDA, Carlos Bustillo, who made reference to the difficulties faced dealers face due to the pandemic.
“The incentives will be incorporated into the Strategic Subsidy Plan, which will be approved immediately. And in the coming weeks, a call will be launched to find a collaborating entity that processes citizen applications in an agile, simple and transparent manner. The intention is that the aid is activated as soon as possible during the first quarter of 2021 “, the councilor stressed.
These subsidies, as Carabante has added, will be aimed at vehicles with a ‘Zero’, ‘ECO’ and ‘C’ label, with a greater economic amount for cars without emissions, and lower for the rest of technologies. In any case, it will be mandatory to obtain the amounts that vehicles without an environmental mark are scrapped.
