ITP Aero joins the United Nations “Raze to Zero” campaign and is committed to being a carbon neutral company by 2050. It is the first company in the aeronautical sector in Spain, whose activity has a strong impact on the atmosphere due to the altitude at which the flights operate, in officially assuming that objective.
According to its roadmap, the 100% Rolls-Royce subsidiary wants to achieve carbon neutrality in its operations by 2030. To achieve this goal, ITP Aero will continue its research programs in search of more sustainable solutions. You will extend this strategy to your suppliers. Your progress in the environment will be evaluated by SBTi experts. Each year you will report on your progress.
Carlos Alzola, CEO of ITP Aero, pointed out that the Rolls-Royce subsidiary “is committed to clean, safe and competitive propulsion systems to achieve a sustainable industry”. In his opinion, the crisis caused by Covid-19 has shown that the decarbonisation of the aeronautical sector “is now more urgent than ever.”
